Goddess in the making

The first lines using pyography to burn the Lady into the wood.

I had to remind myself why I called my shop and this site CRAFTY WITCH. I am well behind with doing something crafty, but other things seem to be more fun right now. Blogging is one thing :o ).

The Goddess is not quite finished yet. I still need to put a protective varnish/ oil on, but I am also wondering if I leave the rest blank, or write something down.

The photos are not very good because I took them in the evening with a little lamp. I was wondering if I should wait until daylight, but in the moment it is always dark and grey so it would not make much difference. Further more, I have mentioned the ‘no patience part before’ ;o).

I have filled the areas in with wood stain, but I am not sure in the moment if the gold and silver are a bit much for my liking.

Honest as I am I can’t take credit for the Goddss itself. The original design is by Carolina Gonzalez which can be bought from her shop The Digital Rose. I have just transfered the image to wood and then burned it. True art for me is to bring something to ‘life’ from scratch. This is something I still have to work on. Drawing ist not really my thing. As a matter of fact I still haven’t found yet what I am good at :o(.

wow that’s beautiful for the original design and then your wood burning skills. Perhaps leave it blank and use it for a note board or photo frame or even a mirror. I think the gold and silver work wounderfully :3

  3. Very good ideas and I will keep them in mind. She has been standing on my bookshelf since, waiting to be finished off :o ).
